AHMED NUR MUSE
Ahmed is an International Development Specialist with more than eight years’ experience in health, human rights, child protection, global governance, and conflict. Over the years, he has worked for development programmes throughout Somalia, Somaliland & Puntland.
He works for SHINE Supply as Health Delivery Expert (Senior Regional Coordinator). Before this, he also worked with Norwegian Refugee Council, Tropical Health and Education Trust, Handicap International and the International Solidarity Foundation. He is the co-founder and former Dean of the first School of Social Work in Somaliland and has extensively contributed to social work education and practice across Somalia. He is also the former Dean for College of Social Sciences and Humanity at the University of Hargeisa in Somaliland.
In 2016, he was awarded the UK Chevening Scholarship to study MA International Development (human rights) at the University of Sussex. He earned his first Master’s degree in Sociology in India in 2011 and subsequently embarked on a career in international development. He also took part in a month-long training in research methods at the African Medical Research Foundation in Kenya.
